Lacquered iron

For the NOON lamp series we work with iron as it is the only base material capable of retaining the necessary stability and filigree form of the NOON lamps. The use of iron goes back to the time 4,000 B.C.E. and it has come to constitute an indispensable construction material.

When deployed in the right ratio, iron is one of the most natural of raw materials. It has a positive effect on the well-being of house inhabitants as the iron's material strength has a subtle effect on humans and gives us a thirst for action, a daring spirit and stamina for work.

To protect both the environment and our employees during the processing of the iron we have improved the surface treatment. We lacquer the iron with a Swiss-made filtering system which filters out all remaining lacquer particles during the application.
