After oxygen and silicon and with a proportion of 8 percent, aluminium is the third most common element in the earth’s crust, and is the most common metal. It is known for its silver-white surface and its light weight. A thin layer of oxygen protects the metal from corrosion. It can be fully recycled without losing its original characteristics. Processing of scrap aluminium only requires 10 percent of the energy needed for its initial extraction. We use a special variety of aluminium for the tray of our PLAISIR side-furniture model. A warm, rubber grip guarantees a soft touch surface and prevents objects from slipping.
