Ceramics

The production of ceramics is one of the oldest cultural techniques of mankind. The oldest clay vessels come from the eastern Amur region in Siberia and according to scientific research are more than 17000 years old

Ceramic is an extraordinary natural product that can be used in many ways and recycled easily. During recycling, the old ceramics are ground up and mixed with the primary raw materials. This process allows theoretically unlimited recycling (MARTENS / GOLDMANN, 2016).

The raw material from Italian quality clay is poured into a plaster mould and then dried twice in the kiln. Between firings, it is refined with white glaze. It is resistant to high temperatures, easy to clean and has a closed surface. ZEITRAUM uses ceramics for the shells of the side furniture series APU.
