North American Cherry Tree

In Japan, the cherry is a symbol for purity. Every year a cherry blossom festival is celebrated. For us in Germany, the 4th of December (St. Barbara's Day) also has symbols of cherries. Traditionally, people cut off a cherry twig, put it in a vase and if it shows blossoms before Christmas, it will bring good luck for the new year. Cherry trees can grow to be 24 metres tall and reach a trunk diameter of up to one metre. Cherry can be regarded as a modern classic. It is elegant, high-quality and tasteful. Its hard, fine-pored, dense wood changes from a golden brown to a dark, noble, red tone over time. Our cherry tree wood comes from FSC-certified areas in northwestern Pennsylvania (USA).
