Design by Florian Hauswirth, 2024The stool is a piece of utility furniture that is firmly anchored in the living area in other cultures, such as Japan. In the Alpine region, the stool is indispensable and, thanks to its practicality, offers an uncomplicated seating option in various places in the living or working area. Without a backrest and with a recessed handle, the stool is easy to position: It can easily be taken into another room or onto the balcony.
Craftsmanship is more than just the skilful processing of materials. It is the embodiment of design and spatial effect. Every detail has been carefully thought through, based on centuries of knowledge about how the human eye perceives the world around us.

Florian Hauswirth
Florian Hauswirth, born 1976 in Dielsdorf, near Zurich, CH. Following a four-year traineeship as a technical model maker in a model and mould design office. During his four-year degree in industrial design, he continued his work as a model maker in the semester breaks.
