Music School Bressanone

In dialogue with the city

The new building is located in the north of the city of Bressanone. The music school Bressanone is not only an architectural project, but also an urban development project. The building deliberately integrates the public space. Like a castle, the cube of reddish-coloured exposed concrete is surrounded by a city wall. One enters the inner courtyard through a large portal. The hand-hammered façade is decorated with stylised patterns, referring to the textures of old residential buildings in the city. Through the large windows, the familiarity of the interior opens onto the public music courtyard and the city.
