Between lake, light and clear architecture
In the idyllic setting of Lake Starnberg, two timber-clad villas open generously towards the surrounding landscape. The architecture deliberately recedes, creating space for light, nature and atmosphere. Inside, warm materials and finely tuned colours set subtle accents – shades ranging from black and green to soft beige form a calm, harmonious composition.
Daylight floods the interiors through floor-to-ceiling windows, extending the living space towards the garden, the lake and the Alps. Inside and outside merge seamlessly – a dialogue that makes the exceptional location of the house tangible.
A place with history
Where a renowned sanatorium once welcomed guests from Germany’s prominent circles, a new place for living has emerged. The history of the site remains perceptible without imposing itself. It forms the backdrop for an architecture that consciously integrates into the landscape.
Inside the villas, an open spatial concept unfolds with a living kitchen, bedrooms, guest and children’s rooms, as well as a workspace. Clear lines, generous proportions and natural materials define the architecture.
Timeless furniture in a contemporary setting
The interior follows the same attitude as the architecture. Our furniture classics complement the spaces with restraint and presence alike. Solid wood, refined surfaces and clear silhouettes shape the living, dining and sleeping areas, complemented by selected rugs from ClassiCon, designs by Eileen Gray, whose distinctive colours and patterns subtly accentuate the interior. Each piece of furniture integrates naturally into the architectural concept – as part of a harmonious whole.
