Minimise environmental impact
We ensure that all materials meet the highest standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs are volatile compounds that can be emitted from materials. We use materials that are manufactured without harmful chemicals and do not release any volatile organic components during use, prioritizing the health and well-being of our customers.
Our products are designed to be
separable and repairable from the beginning.
Linoleum
Linoleum is an artificially manufactured product made primarily from renewable resources. It consists of linseed oil, cork flour, jute fabric, as well as resins, wood flour, limestone powder, and typically natural mineral pigments. Linoleum is flexible, durable, repairable, and allergy-friendly.
Moulded fleece
Moulded fleece is a recyclable material and consists of 100% polyester fibers. The material used by ZEITRAUM is manufactured in Northern Germany, is made from 60% recycled material and certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. ZEITRAUM uses moulded fleece as DUCT cable storage.
Natural paper and textile covering
The textile covering used by ZEITRAUM for the NOON lamp family is made of 75% viscose and 25% polyamide. The viscose fiber used is derived from natural cellulose and processed into a fabric with polyamide fibers. Afterwards, the inside of the fabric is coated with natural paper.

improve the environmental footprint of our products.
Aluminium
Aluminium is 100% recyclable. Due to its low weight and numerous processing options, the material is ideal for the production of dimensionally accurate small parts
in furniture construction. ZEITRAUM uses aluminium for the PLAISIR tray.
Steel
Steel is malleable, hard, tough, strong and versatile. It is also extremely easy to recycle. ZEITRAUM uses steel mainly for the NOON series of lamps, the VERMU table and the OKITO series.
