Architecture with History
The Alea Park in Bad Orb near Frankfurt is a green oasis with a modern flat block and restaurant. Salt and the natural brine springs have always characterised Bad Orb. Salt was extracted from the brine in Bad Orb until the late 18th century, and the medical use of the Orb brine springs developed later. The white geometric shape of the buildings is inspired by the salt crystals.
ZEITRAUM has furnished the Fogo e Água restaurant with the PELLE chair and the OKITO BAR bar stool, which has also found its place in the flat. The restaurant itself is based on an unusual concept: cooking is done exclusively with fire – open, original and powerful. The black steel kitchen forms a striking contrast to the seven metre high, fully oak-clad ceiling and the bright architecture. The result is an atmospheric space in which craftsmanship, nature and design combine to create a harmonious whole.
