Liberty House

GB – London, 2021 | Office

Inspired by the neighbour

Studio SODA creates contemporary offices in a London building from the 1970s. The neighbouring Liberty department stores has influenced the colours and shapes of the office space. The department stores was originally located in Liberty House before moving next door.
The spacious rooms with arched doorways home meeting rooms, lounges, private offices and a kitchen and dining area. The colour palette ranges from neutral warm tones in the offices, dark petrol tones to terracotta and bright yellow in the public areas and meeting rooms.
“The scalloped surfaces can be seen in the facade of Liberty House, so it was a really nice way to bring the language of the exterior internally and apply it on key joinery elements,” SODA architect Vipulendran said.
