Originally, the Gustav was to be called ‘Willi’, but that name does not sit well with the extraordinarily sophisticated cuisine. The exceptional culinary experience offered at the Michelin-starred restaurant in Frankfurt’s Westend is matched by the stunning interiors: featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the four rooms are decorated with colourful art by Atelier Goldstein, which is set against the rooms’ dark grey base shade. Each of the KONTRA and BONDT walnut tables from ZEITRAUM features a different sculpture or one-off piece. The bespoke tableware was produced by a small local pottery.
